See that was my first thought too but then I was like “but how EXACTLY would they KNOW there were two moons if they were NEVER in the sky at the same time” so I did a lot of research and found a good orbit that IS theoretically possible that would put the second moon in the sky only for part of the year (not even in the way you would expect, orbits are fascinating motherfuckers ask me how I know spoiler I READ TOO MANY ASTROPHYSICS BOOKS) specifically around the month of Firstfall with the peak view being, that’s right, fuckin SATINALIA, aka the fucking holiday named after the second moon

sorry I just worked really hard to make their dumb lore mistakes make sense and I’m very proud of it
